Finally, we have the solution! The transaxle delemma that has plagued the 914 since day one, has been fixed by Renegade!
The car that has held a soft spot for many here at Renegade, has always been the 914. However, the spoiler that keeps so many of us from reaching for the big numbers, has always been the transaxle. The stock box had low limits and shifted like a wet noodle, and the bigger 911 alternatives were cost prohibitive and messy.
Thankfully so, all of this has changed! Renegade now has kits to install the modern six speed Boxster S transaxle and shifter into your 914 using either the LS or SBC based Chevy V8 engines. This includes high performance axles, a very capable clutch, and mounts that tie directly into the factory locations. 600HP in a 914 that shifts like a Honda was almost unimaginable, but now, not only is it possible, it's actually rather easy!
